Breaker Communications is run by Jenny Breaker - a marketing expert with over 20 years’ experience helping organisations make their marketing activity clearer, stronger and more effective. I focus on practical, impactful support that actually moves things forward.

Before founding Breaker Communications in 2026, I held senior marketing leadership roles across education, membership, events, and technology, leading teams and delivering marketing strategies that drive growth and reputation.

What does Breaker Communications do?

I provide flexible marketing and communications expertise to help organisations move their marketing forward and achieve real impact.

That could mean leading a transformation project, developing a marketing strategy, sharpening your messaging, or delivering campaigns that get results.

 

Who do you typically work with?

I work with organisations that need senior marketing and communications expertise, but don’t necessarily need (or want) a full-time role.

That could be growing businesses building their marketing approach, organisations going through change, or teams who need experienced support for a specific project.

My typical work is with medium-sized organisations who have a small marketing team and are looking for more strategic experience and expertise to help them through a specific project or launch. This might be due to a gap while hiring, or because they simply don’t need someone permanent in this role.

How do you usually work with clients?

Every project is a little different, but most work falls into two categories.

Some clients work with me on a defined project, such as developing a marketing strategy, launching a website, or supporting a brand repositioning. Others choose ongoing options, providing flexible senior marketing leadership or hands on support on a day rate or retainer basis.

Do you work alongside internal teams?

Yes, in many cases I work closely with internal marketing, communications or leadership teams. My role might be to bring an outside perspective, help shape strategy, or support teams delivering major initiatives.

I am very used to working with marketing teams, other internal stakeholders, including senior leadership and Board, and external agencies, from my previous in-house roles.

Where do you work from?

I am based in Towcester, Northamptonshire, but can work virtually with clients based anywhere (time differences allowing). Most work and meetings will be delivered remotely, but I am also within easy access of London and Birmingham for in-person sessions if required.

With experience leading marketing teams and delivering complex programmes, I understand both the strategic thinking and the realities of making marketing work inside organisations.
